An exceptional example of early saphiret glass. The piece was once a brooch but has lost its pin so is being offered as a panel to either be taken apart or restored.

The metal panel is set with graduated saphiret stones, each one so packed full of colour with rich aqua and mauve tones. The glass particularly comes to life under sunlight as seen in the pictures.

The two outer stones are a bit loose in their setting but aside from this the panel remains in good condition and the stones are all in excellent condition.
